A 15-year-old Canvey boy today appealed for residents to keep an eye out for his missing remote controlled plane.
Grounded - 15-year-old David Eve Picture: LUAN MARSHALL
David Eve, of Hannett Road, lost control of his new £90 plane at the Smallgains field, when it took to the air for the first time.
The plane, with a wingspan of more than three feet, got caught in a sudden gust of wind and was swept away towards Rainbow Road.
David tried to keep up with his prized gadget, which he had spent all his pocket money on, but lost sight of it as it began to descend.
He said: "If it's in someone's garden then it's not something which you could easily miss. It's pretty big."
Anyone who spots the plane should call Suzanne on 07834 165515.
