A seriously-injured woman is still in hospital, five weeks after she was involved in a crash.
The 24-year-old was walking along Dovercourt High Street with a friend when they were both in collision with a car.
She suffered multiple broken bones - mostly to her legs - and internal bleeding.
Officers dealing with the incident said she was still in hospital, where she has undergone several operations including plastic surgery.
The victim's 19-year-old friend, from Dovercourt, was also hurt in the accident and was kept in hospital, but is now recovering at home.
Police are continuing their investigations into the collision, which happened in the early hours of Sunday, July 4.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. He is currently released on bail
