Pupils from a Braintree school will be put through their paces at the Goojerat Army Barracks in Colchester from the August Bank Holiday.
Ten boys and ten girls from Tabor High School, Panfield Lane, will spend three days and two nights from Monday, August 30.
The pupils, aged 14 and 15, will endure little sleep, hard work and a new form of discipline.
They will stay on camp wearing full military fatigues, carrying mock weapons and taking part in various exercises, including one scheduled to last all night.
PC Tina Smith, police officer assigned to the school, said: "It's a great way of breaking down barriers and developing their team building skills."
