Train company One is moving its entire admin operations to a new HQ in Colchester, bringing 80 jobs to the town, the Evening Gazette can reveal.

The move will see posts move to Colchester from London, Ipswich and Norwich.

The train operator is currently finalising the location of the new offices.

But bosses say they expect to sign contracts in the next two weeks.

If everything goes to plan, the admin centre could be up and running within two months.

The jobs boost will see administration, finance, accounts and support services based in the town.

A spokesman said: "There will be a significant number of posts at the office - up to 80."
