Wakering held their Essex rivals for the first-half at Burroughs Park, but found the power of the Ryman Premier visitors too strong after the break and lost 3-0.
Rovers were due to finish their friendlies at home to Essex Senior League champions Concord Rangers tomorrow night.
But that game is now off as the Canvey-based side have won through to the final of the delayed Eastern Floodlight Competition from last season.
Concord will play Chelmsford City in that final on Wednesday at Thames Road (7.45pm) having won their semi-final 4-0 at home to AFC Sudbury on Saturday.
Although Sudbury, FA Vase finalists for the past two years, were not at their strongest, it was an outstanding display by a Concord side now managed by Mark Jenkins, who was at Basildon United last season.
Two of the men with Jenko at Gardiners Close were among the goals, with Neil Richmond scoring two and John Curtis one. Ronnie Fletcher completed the tally.
