The brutal murder of a 25-year-old Southend girl in India remains unsolved despite ten months of investigations, it has been revealed.
Anna Bartlett, of Sandringham Road, who had a history of problems with drugs, was found dead in the east Indian town of Manali, a popular spot for backpackers.
Indian police arrested two Irish men, Frank James, 46, from Dublin, and Adrian Breathnach, 40, from Tiperary, in connection with her death, but both have been cleared of any involvement.
Anna was killed just four months after she was released from a Middle Eastern jail for drug smuggling.
