One of Brentwood's most popular attractions has featured on the silver screen after a visit by eccentric aristocrat broadcaster, Lucinda Lambton.
The scene of Thursday's edition of ITV show Sublime Suburbia is the Secret Nuclear Bunker in Kelvedon and writer Lucinda described it as 'utterly sensational'.
She said: "The day we went to film at the bunker was the first time I had been there and I thought it was incredible.
"What really struck me and was my favourite thing about the bunker is that is was real. It wasnt made for show, it was made for use in a nuclear war and that was what made it so special to me."
Lucinda added that she was amazed at how well hidden the bunker is and that it had been kept a secret for so long but she said she wasn't too keen on the advertising slogan-'best kept secret'.
She pointed out that from the outside you 'wouldn't event know it was there' and even when you are inside the cottage, which leads to the entrance, you are still unaware of the massive site which is hidden behind.
