Writtle has been hit by a mini-crime wave, with goods worth a total of nearly £2,500 stolen and hundreds of pounds' worth of property damage.
There were thefts from homes in Longmeads Close and Bruce Road, Writtle College and a car left outside Hylands House.
At Bruce Road, PlayStation equipment worth nearly £400 was taken.
Drinks and a porcelain figurine valued at £600 were taken from Longmeads Close, and £300-worth of damage occurred during the break-in.
A padlock was forced at the Writtle College drinks store and drinks worth a total of £250 were taken.In the car park of Hylands House, £300-worth of damage was carried out on a car when computer equipment worth £1,200 was stolen.
