As the men out-manoeuvred the opposition to finish with a 26 point margin on Saturday, so the young athletes conducted their business on Sunday galloping away with a massive 63 points majority.
It helped enormously of course to have cracking teams out on both occasions and, as far as the men were concerned, it helped too that they won all three sections --the track, the throws and the jumps.
The youngsters, on the other hand, have six age groups to contend with - the men have only one - so are very reliant on every section maximising on the points.
Four of the groups won and the remaining two were very close seconds.
