Parents today told of their disgust after children's play equipment at a Wickford park was destroyed by vandals.

The wooden playground equipment at Queens Park memorial ground in Shotgate, was burnt so badly that repair is impossible.
Jane Tillbrook, 26, from Shotgate, was walking with her four-week-old son Jack through Queens Park.
She said: "This is not the first time this has happened.
"A few months ago I saw a fire coming from there. People are always vandalising this park. The older kids wrap the swings round the posts so youngsters can't play. It's disgusting."
