Two members of the emergency services were taken to hospital after an accident left pesticide spilled over a road.

The two ambulance crew members from Burnham were checked for minor respiratory problems and then released on Wednesday afternoon.

They had attended a crash in which a pick-up truck carrying pesticides collided with a tree in Goldhanger.The pesticide was found to cause mild skin irritation.

The 18-year-old driver involved in the accident was cut free from the vehicle and taken to Colchester General Hospital for treatment.
