Dark-haired Naomi Chan, of Greenstead, has made the top 100 of local lovelies who entered the contest run by FHM magazine.
More than 8,000 girls applied and Naomi, a former pupil at Sir Charles Lucas School, is thrilled to have made it so far.
The 21-year-old said: "My friend entered my name into the competition and I was surprised but delighted to have done so well.
"I am now focusing on getting into the final 12 as it would be fantastic to win."
Voting can be done online by visiting FHM.com - but all votes must be cast by midnight on September 1.
