It was one of a series of events organised by Basildon Council's countryside services unit to ensure youngsters don't get bored in the summer break.
Other fun days include looking for animal tracks and trails at the Wick Country Park in Wickford tomorrow and a minibeast hunt at the Wat Tyler Country Park in Pitsea next Thursday.
