A promising musician and artist is exhibiting in her home town for the first time.
Amy Fry's latest work is currently being shown at Witham library until Monday, August 16.
The 19-year-old former Howbridge Infant School pupil is keen to exhibit her work after successfully completing a diploma in 2002 at the renowned Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (Lipa).
Miss Fry has had her work shown in London and has created specific works to order for clients.
She said: "I was born in Maldon then moved to Oxford. After that I went to Liverpool to study at Lipa. It was really interesting and they taught us a lot about music.
"We studied many modules in different areas. My art is influenced by the music I'm interested in."
