New childcare facilities are soon to start in Pitsea.
The Karing Times out-of-school clubs, for children aged between four and 12, will take place at Pitsea Leisure Centre.
The new scheme, which Basildon Council is helping to get off the ground, will see before and after school fun-packed sessions offered youngsters.
Michelle Omiyale, Karing Times's club manager, said: "We are very excited about the opening.
"The clubs will help promote social interaction and learning while children have fun with new friends."
