Jeff King has a full squad to pick from as his Canvey Island side continue their pre-season campaign with a Park Lane match against a Charlton Athletic XI tonight.
The Premiership side are sending a mixed team of reserve and youth players to the island, despite Gulls' original hopes that the Addicks were going to field their big name stars, who will be in action at League Two Colchester United this evening.
However, Gulls boss King expects a tough test.
"It will be a hard game whatever side Charlton bring," he said. "There are a few players in their squad who have featured in the first team, as well as others who helped them win the Premier reserve league last season.
"But our main concern is still to improve on our fitness levels."
Charlton's squad includes goalie Paul Rachubka, who played for Huddersfield Town in the Third Division play-off final last season.
Defender Jon Fortune and forward Jamal Campbell-Ryce both featured in the first team last term.
