Benfleet crushed bottom club Ongar by 10 wickets to earn their fourth win of the season.
And spokesman Ron Steed freely admitted it was one of the team's easiest win of the season.
"We took 35 overs to get the runs," he said. "Wins have been few and far between this year. We have been competitive but I think with this game the only thing we had to win was the toss."
Benfleet duly did that and put their hosts in. S Reynolds, batting at number three, was the only batsman to offer any resistance, remaining unbeaten on 76.
Steed led thhe attack with 5-22 from 10 overs, with Chris Shaw claiming 4-32 in 17 overs.
Andy Scott (75no) and Tom Gamby (55no) knocked off the runs to leave Benfleet eagerly awaiting their a derby run against Southend, Basildon and Old Southendian.
