THE drivers of a van and a bus involved in a head-on collision have been taken
to hospital.
The crash happened at just before 9am on Saturday on Lower Dunton Road, near
Brentwood.
Firefighters from Basildon, Brentwood, Ingatestone and Grays attended the
scene. Police and ambulance services were also called.
The 29-year-old driver of the white Transit van from Southend was cut out of
his vehicle by firefighters.
He was then taken to Basildon Hospital suffering a broken leg, broken knee and
dislocated hip.
The 51-year-old bus driver from Tilbury received minor injuries. He was also
taken to Basildon Hospital.
