Jason Daniels 36th out of 78 entrants in the boys' 11-14 years 100m freestyle at the National Championships at Sheffield yesterday.
The Canvey Island Swimming Club member clocked 1:08.52 over two lengths of the 50m pool at Ponds Forge. South African Joshua Kriel was first with 1:01.62.
Daniels clocked 2:53.22 in the boys' 11-15 years 200m backstroke to finish 55th out of the 58-strong field. Kriel won again with a time of 2:31.52.
