Frinton opener Floyd O'Toole will be aiming to go one better when he steps out to the crease at Lakenheath tomorrow.
Frustration - Floyd O'Toole finished one run short of a ton against East Bergholt last Saturday Picture: TERRY WEEDON
The powerfully-built right-hander finished up frustratingly one run short of a century in the Ashlyn Roader's 57-run second division success over East Bergholt last Saturday.
And nothing would please the South Australian big-hitter more than to repeat that performance and add the elusive extra run to help the east coast side see-off Lakenheath and move ever nearer to the race for promotion.
O'Toole blasted several boundaries in his 99 against East Bergholt losing the ball more than once in the long grass just outside the boundary.
He and team-mate Tony Stubbs took the Bergholt bowling attack apart in a match-winning second-wicket partnership of 132, Stubbs hitting a well-struck 55.
But Frinton could be minus the services of opening bowler Billy Baines who suffered a freak injury a dislocated shoulder when appealing for an lbw decision while recording figures of five for 23 in the win over Bergholt.
Elsewhere, 16-year-old Rory Ainsley will be looking to continue his good form out in the middle.
Ainsely helped first division strugglers Braintree break their league duck after 13 outings in a shock first win of the season over title-chasing Exning last week and hope to repeat the feat at home to Mistley tomorrow.
