There was a triple win for the Gozzett family on day four of Mersea Cadet Week.
In the beginner's fleet, Harry Gozzett aged eight won his third race of the week while at the same time older brother Oliver, the youngest of the Optimist Gold sailors, scored an upset by beating overall leader Will Powell.
Meanwhile, the boys' cousin, Emily Broadhurst, led the Medium Handicap Fleet by a seemingly unbeatable seven points in her Laser Radial. She took the line honours, although was ultimately beaten into second place in both races on handicap.
Elsewhere on the water, 13-year-old Martin Evans is proving impossible to beat, sailing his topper to first place in six out of six races in the Slow Handicap Fleet.
The under-13 inland national champion has sailed almost faultlessly, proving too much of a challenge for 2003 winner Georgina Sunnucks, who has had to be satisfied with six second places.
Guy Harrison and Hugo Sunnucks, in an RS Feva, made two perfect starts in the Medium Handicap Fleet, finishing first in race six ahead of Broadhurst with race five going to Sarah Free in a Byte.
There was close and exciting racing for the three 29er skiff type dinghies in the Fast Handicap Fleet.
Defending champions Jack Grogan and Jon Banks were constantly hounded by Jack's brother Ollie, sailing with Adam Hollis, and by Harriet Fox and Jessica Gozzett, with second and third positions constantly changing on the water and the girls demonstrating superb mark rounding.
