Wayne Andrews will be shooting for a million pounds when the new football season gets under way in eight days time.
And the ace Colchester United marksman promised that his in-form partner at arms, Craig Fagan, will be going flat out to achieve the same goal .
The sharp-shooting U's duo have already hit the mark in their team's pre-season friendlies and they are ready to throw themselves full tilt into an adventurous scoring initiative on offer from Coca-Cola - the Football League's new sponsors.
Coca-Cola are putting up £1m to be split between the League's 72 clubs if a record 4,500 goals, or more, are scored in the new season.
The cash, if the clubs win it, will go towards funding an up-and-coming-player or an apprentice for a season.
"I think it's a fantastic idea and I'll definitely be shooting for the kids," said Andrews.
He added: "I will be aiming for a goal-a-game and I know Craig will be doing the same.
"I was the club's top scorer in the League last season with 12 goals (14 overall) and my aim is to be Colchester's leading League marksman this year. "
