A mother is calling for safety measures to be taken after her son escaped with bruises when he was involved in an accident with a car in their road.
Samantha Thomas' six-year-old son, Charlie, was recently involved in a collision in Dudley Road, Clacton.
Miss Thomas said: "I am worried that something is going to happen in our road. Charlie was so lucky. Something has got to be done."
At the time of the accident, Charlie was playing on his bike in the road and Miss Thomas said lots of other children play out there as well.
"A child is going to be killed," she added.
She would like to see speed bumps installed down the road to slow down the traffic.
Mike Page, spokesman for Tendring Council, said: "We work closely with the police and monitor all accidents and action usually follows."
