Great Wakering Rebels were sent spinning off the track by Hethersett Hawks on Sunday as their Norfolk visitors swooped to a resounding 101-53 success.
Manager Darren Cousins refused to be despondent and said: "There were several positives, including the rapid improvement of new rider Wade Davies, plus Tom and Rhys Naylor.
"However, we are in bad need of new young riders to come along and have a try out for us. We have home matches every Sunday in September and extend our welcome to all parents and children to come and see what a great sport cycle speedway is."
