The Bell pub, in Prince Avenue, Southend, is holding a fundraiser tomorrow from 7.30pm for Southend Hospital's Healing Hearts Appeal for a new heart monitoring system.
The evening's highlight will be an auction of staff. Winning bids will secure their services for a week, doing anything from gardening to serving drinks.
Chef Kieran Graveling dreamed up the idea.
He said: "They always did it in soaps years ago. I thought it would be a good idea to do it here, too."
