Wearing a map of the Maldon district might seem like a strange idea, but a budding designer has made the Essex coastline fashionable.

A collection of clothes by Louise Austin is the talk of the town after High Street florist Talking Flowers displayed clothes from her degree show in the window.
The designs by Miss Austin, of Tenterfield Road, Maldon, feature maps of the Maldon district printed on dresses, tops and more, to tie in with the show's latitude and longitude theme.
The 22-year-old has just graduated from Colchester Institute with a 2:1 in Art and Design and is about to start her second spell of work experience at fashion label Red or Dead.
She said: "I've had a really great response from people in the town wanting to buy things from the collection and one woman has even asked me to design her wedding dress."
Miss Austin works part time at Talking Flowers and picked up the map used in her designs from colleague Jane Carr, who has been sponsoring her.
