Rayleigh's Shin Gi Tai Shotokan karate club were today celebrating after two more students achieved great success.
Senior student Angela Gregory performed fantastically to pass her dan black belt course in Hendon, while 12-year-old Grace Thompson, who recently recovered from appendicitis and torn ligaments, took a hard fought silver medal at the National Youth Championships in Chesterfield.
And instructor Debbie Pegrum was delighted with the duo's results.
"They have trained really hard and really deserve this," she said.
"We're very pleased and proud to have such dedicated students and their achievements have really inspired others at the club.
"We look forward to many more successful students in the near future but it doesn't come easily."
