Rose and Vic Henstock secured a quarter-final mixed pairs berth at the Southend Ladies Open Bowls Tournament after a dramatic third round fixture.
The Runwell duo found themselves 11-0 down on the seventh end in their match against South Benfleet's Judy and Kevin McBrearty.
They then scored 3, 1, 3, 2 and 1 to make it 11-10 on the 20th before the game went to 17-17. But the Henstocks scored two to claim the win.
The pair had earlier defeated Newton and Cribb (Eastwood Park) 26-20 in the second round at Priory Park, while the McBrearties had beaten Tillett and Savage 25-15 at the same stage.
