Robert Pile added yet another whopper to his Gloucester Park list when he tempted a 20lb common carp from the eastern end of the Basildon venue's island.
One more for the list - Robert Pile with another big carp catch from Basildon's Gloucester Park
The big fish fell to a banana Ester boilie, coming just half an hour into a hectic session which saw busy angler Pile land seven carp in the first hour.
He was fishing with pal Mark Pulham who also enjoyed his share of the action taking fish into double figures.
By the time the duo packed up they had netted 23 carp and a barbel between them.
Roger Briggs made the most of his first ever trip to the lake to include a personal best common carp of 19lb 8oz in an 11 fish haul.
Southend angler Briggs fished the cockle bank where he presented homemade boilies tight to the island.
In addition to his biggest fish, he netted three other doubles weighing in at 10lb 12oz, 12lb 8oz, and 15lb.
