Hauliers and councillors have called a meeting to try to push for the dualling of one of Tendring's busiest roads.
Harwich councillor Dave Rutson, an experienced haulier, has arranged the meeting to discuss the A120.
He is not happy with proposals put forward to improve the road, saying they do not go far enough.
Mr Rutson said the A120 needed dualling between Harwich and Hare Green and believes upgrades suggested at the Bathside Bay public inquiry were inadequate.
He thinks the A120 is not capable of coping with additional traffic which would be created by any expansion of Harwich International Port at Bathside Bay.
The ongoing public inquiry is examining transport issues
