Around 50 men and women of God descended on Stansted airport to learn about its growth and impact on the region.
The group were all members of the Industrial Mission Association (IMA), which is made up of 80 workplace chaplains.
The IMA encourages a relevant theological presence in the world of industry and business.
Members of the group work as chaplains for in a wide variety of workplaces, including Army bases, steelworks, and yes, even airports.
The chaplains who visited Stansted were given a talk called 'Changing Skylines Changing Baselines', which detailed the impact Stansted had on its immediate surroundings, on Essex and even on London.
Stansted airport's chaplain Chris Bishop said regional branches took it in turns to hold a bi-annual conference on social and economic matters affecting their area.
"This year we chose the subject as Regeneration and Change on the South East and Thames Gateway. Stansted is a prime example of something that is continually growing and developing."
