The Chalkwell Park-based Shepherd Neame Essex League side finished top of the six competing clubs, aided by West Indies Test player Ricardo Powell.
It was the first time the afternoon event had been incorporated into the town's annual festival and organisers hailed the professionals and amateurs league a success.
"It has gone down very well and with Essex's win on Sunday it has helped get the festival off to a good start," said Neil Harding, who is among the team organising the week-long cricket extravaganza at Southchurch Park.
The six sides competing took each other on in a league format where each side got five overs per match.
All of the teams playing were Essex League sides except for Ecko Monarchs & Trojans, who fielded four under-17 players and tied with Leigh. EM&T play in the T Rippon Mid-Essex League.
