A charity shop in Braintree is appealing for help from the public after donations left on their doorstep were stolen.
Donations made to the Barnardo's shop in Bank Street after normal opening hours had been stolen before staff arrived the next morning.
Sue Wright, manager of the shop, said: "It's such a terrible shame that the goods people have taken the time to pack up and deliver to us have been stolen.
"It is awful that a minority have to ruin the goodwill of the public who've kindly donated to us, and the monies that their donation would have raised for disadvantaged children and young people."
The shop is now encouraging people to make donations during shop opening hours only.
