Canvey Island hot-shot Lee Boylan again demonstrated his goalscoring prowess with a brace during Saturday's 2-1 win at Heybridge Swifts.
The man whose tally of competitive goals last season was only just short of the 60 mark missed Gull's first two friendlies with a toe injury.
But, after grabbing a penalty in Monday's 2-1 defeat at Southend United, he grabbed his first two goals in open play of the new campaign in this runout at Essex rivals Heybridge.
Swifts took the lead in the opening minutes, but Boylan put them back on terms after eight minutes.
And he grabbed what proved to be the winning goal just before the interval.
