Wickford quickly made amends for having the previous week's game abandoned due to rain when they obliterated hosts Orsett.
The home side batted first and were bowled out for 65 with Jamie Went taking 5-15 and Andy Baker, very often only third or fourth change in a star-studded bowling line-up, 5-19.
With star batsman Kim Beazleigh, who has regularly scored in the 70s and 100s this season, out of action through injury, Wickford were delighted not to have too big a target to aim at.
They won the match for the loss of only two wickets and cricket manager Mark Everitt said: "It was good to get a win under our belts after last week, particularly with closest rivals Brentwood being beaten."
