Hadleigh skipper Dev Gandhi certainly led by example as his side gave their Division One prospects a massive boost with this 12-run win over second-placed Brentwood.
Gandhi cracked a superb 108 as Hadleigh totalled 250-8 declared and followed up with match-winning figures of 5-76 as Brentwood fell short of their target.
G Neech and J Walford both scored 66 for the promotion-chasing opposition, but it was Hadleigh who were left cheering at the end with a win that pushes them up to sixth place in the table and well clear of the relegation zone.
