Engines roared and spluttered as they powered a convoy of vintage cars from London to Southend for the annual Classic Car Run.

Thousands watched as around 150 cars cruised on to Western Esplanade, Southend, for the charity event yesterday. Rolls Royces, Bentleys and Jaguars, sat alongside legendary American cars, such as Cadillacs and Ford Mustangs
