Police are hunting a youth seen hitting cars with a hammer in Dukes Road, Braintree, about 9.15pm yesterday.
He is described as white, aged about 14 to 16, wearing a brown t-shirt or jacket, and possibly living in the Beech Avenue area.
Information to Braintree police on 01376 551312, quoting incident number 1643 of July 21.
