Boyce Hill's Paul Ring and Steve McAnally (Orsett) are in the Essex team to take on Herts at Thorndon Park on Sunday week in the northern section of the South-Eastern Golf League.
Rochford's Jimmy Dale was unlucky to miss out, but has been named as one of two reserves for the county side.
In the English Golf Union's SE Junior Championships at East Sussex National Golf Club, Langdon Hills, Daniel Brooks was the top-scoring Essex player.
He shot a three under 69 in the morning, but had a 76 in the afternoon for 145 and 14th place -- seven shots behind the leading individual.
Rochford's Rhys Piper was the other local player taking part in the competition.
However, team manager Dave Dowse admitted his side needed to produce better performances if they are to stand a chance of winning silverware.
He said: "If we are to go on and win the national team finals at the end of August we shall have to putt much better."
