The Thorpe Bay girls first team of Sara Needham, Ashlee Tyrrell and Sarah Naylor were narrowly beaten in the regional semi finals of the National Junior Club League, going down to East Anglia Tennis and Squash Club from Norwich.
Thorpe Bay led after the three singles rubbers by 2 to 1 following excellent wins by Tyrrell and Naylor.
However they lost out in the deciding doubles rubber which counted for two points.
This gave East Anglia a 3 to 2 win.
Thorpe Bay coach Tony Doolan praised the team's excellent efforts.
"The girls played magnificently against opponents who, on the basis of their National ratings, were far stronger," he said.
"This augurs well for the future of junior tennis at Thorpe Bay.
"We are all very proud of their achievements."
