A Rayleigh mother is trying to find new premises for her boxing sons and their clubmates after a falling tree destroyed the club house.
Flashback - boxing club trainer Cliff Wright surveys the damage after the tree collapsed on to the roof
Claire Mann said her sons Todd, 14, and Josh Mann, 11, were inconsolable after a tree collapsed on to the roof of Rayleigh Boxing Club in an industrial unit in Quest End, Rawreth Road, Rayleigh.
The club was just one of the casualties of the July 7 storms with gusts of up to 40mph.
The tree caused £30,000 worth of damage by destroying one half of the building. At the moment the club is still training in the remaining half of the building but the lease runs out in less than three weeks and will not be renewed.
The club has been trying to find other premises but hasn't found anything suitable yet.
Mrs Mann, of The Limes, Rayleigh, is now trying to come to the rescue by appealing for a new building for the club to train in.
Anyone who wants to help the boxing club to find new premises is asked to ring the Evening Echo on 01702 321145.
