Essex County bowls club enjoyed a successful night in their Group Six matches.
In Division One the Westcliff based club's A team took on Runwell A at home and triumphed on both rinks with R Benge winning 21-16 and R Jones winning 21-15. They took all six points.
Also in Division One, the Cadets were away at Thorpe Bay and, after a very close match, the rink skipped by cadet captain M Osborne droppedsix shots in the last two ends to lose by one shot (17-18).
However, on the other rink skipped by G Meddle, they picked up one shot on the last end to win by two shots 19-17 and by one shot overall to take four points.
In Division Five the D team played at home against Bournemouth Park D and lost on both rinks.
B Leavers going down 10-28 and J Wilks being beaten 14-18.
