A father is set for a £1m compensation after his wife bled to death following the birth of twins.
The High Court was expected to award the sum today to Ranjana Suraweera two months after Basildon Hospital admitted liability for the death of Dr Sandhya Priyadashini Senanayake.
An coroner recorded a verdict of medical adventure to which neglect contributed.
