A drunken teenage girl who bit two police officers and assaulted four others has narrowly avoided being locked up.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, lashed out at police who had been called out to move a group of drunken youths in Wickford.
She was sentenced to a nine-month supervision order and ordered to pay £50 compensation to each officer.
