Launch - work gets under way at Castledon School, watched by headteacher Carole Clift, back
Castledon School, which is working with the Victorian Kitchen Garden Company, launched the project yesterday.
The facility is aimed at giving students a chance to expand their knowledge, develop new skills and even more careers opportunities.
Headteacher Carole Clift said pupils will be very involved and building a pathway, walls and garden furniture as well as running a shop, which will be selling the fruit, vegetables and herbs grown in the garden.
A tree donated by parents was also planted in memory of teaching assistant Jan Goldby, who died this month.
