Hadleigh and Thundersley Cricket Club enjoyed a memorable afternoon yesterday as a whole host of test stars attended their annual international challenge match.

Going batty - Viv Richards signs for Mick Patel and Raj Patel at yesterday's charity game

West Indians legends Sir Viv Richards, Desmond Haynes, Richie Richardson and Jimmy Adams all played alongside a number of other well known names.

And there was plenty of on-field action, with Richardson making 95 and Kiwi Chris Harris hitting 111 as the International XI went down to a last-ball defeat.

The day also helped raise funds for Little Havens Children Hospice and local cricket in the castle point area.
