Both Oakfield Primary School and Abacus Primary School were hit by vandals again on Monday night smashing windows and damaging property.

Staff at Oakfield in Scott Drive arrived to find a paving slab had been thrown through a window and other windows broken.

Similar vandalism was discovered at Abacus in Tresco Way with plastic from the bike sheds ripped off and windows smashed.

Abacus headteacher Gillian Brinded believes the damage is done by a group of youths who patrol the area.

She said: "On the Wick there is nothing much for the older children to do.

"That is the biggest problem. They get bored."
