Hullbridge's Nathan Capp turned big game hunter when he tamed this monster catfish on a successful trip to the Chigborough Fisheries in Maldon.
The 25-year-old angler needed all of his strength to land this 45lb 1oz beast,which was caught during a 24-hour session.
But Nathan didn't finish there and also went on to record four healthy sized carp, which hit the scales between 12 and 14lbs.
Nathan tempted the catfish out of the water with a tasty combination of pineapple and banana boilies.
He was also well equipped using a 15lb Mantis hair rig (size 6), nashxfang hook and 8lb still line as he captured the catfish.
