Two illegal raves held over the weekend could result in prosecutions, and police have warned they will not tolerate such events happening in the area again
In the wake of the two parties they vowed to "prevent, disrupt and enforce" to ensure raves do not take place.
Raves were held at Andrewsfield Aviation in Great Saling, near Braintree, and on land belonging to the Forestry Commission near Chalkney Wood, Tey Road, Earls Colne.
They took place on Saturday night and were both brought to a halt by officers from Braintree police.
In Great Saling, the party was ended at 2.30am on Sunday and about 60 people were said to have attended the rave which was held in a hangar.
On each occasion the police asked who the organisers were and whether anyone had a public entertainment licence.
A spokesman for Essex police confirmed that a van containing various sound equipment was seized by police.
