A woman in her sixties was robbed of her handbag in the street by two youths.
The victim was walking along Tattenham Road in Laindon, when she was approached by a man, who demanded she hand over her bag.
She struggled to keep hold of it but he managed to yank it off her before fleeing down Powell Road with another youth who was loitering on the other side of the road.
The robber is described as being of mixed race, no older than 20, about 5ft 11ins tall with a slim build. He was wearing a pale blue top with the hood up.
